*Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) have notified the Battery (Management & Handling) Rules-2001 as Amended on May 2010. As per the provision under Rule 5, the importer shall get registered with Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) by submitting application.
*The Rules applies to every stack holder such as manufacturer, importer, re-conditioner, assembler, dealer, recycler, auctioneer, consumer and bulk consumer involved in manufacturing, processing, sale, purchase and use of batteries or components thereof.
